Sunday School
Children ages 3 through high school are invited to attend Sunday School classes at St. Dionysios. Taught by a volunteer staff of dedicated instructors, with participation from parent volunteers welcome, students learn about our faith in Jesus Christ and the theology of the Orthodox Christian Church. Hands on projects for the youngest students, spirited discussion in the older classes, and curriculum from the Archdiocese of the Greek Orthodox church are supplemented by additional readings. Sunday School runs from the weekend after Labor Day until the weekend before Memorial Day annually. The students and teachers are dismissed first from Divine Liturgy to obtain their snacks and head straight to the classrooms, where classes are held until 12:15.
Participants are encouraged to also engage in other programs such as GOYA, Hope/ JOY, choir, altar servers, the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival, basketball, Greek dancing, and Orthodox youth summer camp.
Enroll your students today by contacting Dr. Betsy Wickstrom at jzw@aol.com, or give your contact information to Fr. Mark.
